Squelch Check

A free token scam checker for your Telegram group. Anyone in the chat types /check and a ticker or contract address, and the red flags show up right there.

How it works

1. Add @SquelchCheckBot to your group.
2. Anyone types /check PEPE or pastes a contract address (Ethereum, Base, Solana).
3. If the ticker matches several different tokens (scams reuse popular names), it asks which one you mean.
4. It replies in the chat with what it found.

It checks for honeypots, sell restrictions, mint, freeze and blacklist powers, an upgradable transfer fee, unlocked liquidity and a single wallet holding too much. The data comes from GoPlus Security and DexScreener.

Pepe (PEPE) on ethereum 3.5 years old, $30.39M liquidity in this pool ⚠️ Established token with admin controls: has blacklist function, transfers pausable, only 0% of LP locked/burned (need 80%+) This is common for older, larger tokens and is not proof of a scam. It does mean whoever controls the contract can still change the rules (for example freeze, blacklist or mint, depending on the flags above). No honeypot or sell restrictions found.

It doesn't cry wolf on big coins

Lots of large, older tokens keep admin powers like blacklisting or pausing transfers, and USDT is one of them. Calling every one of those a scam would make the bot useless. So if a token is at least 180 days old with $1M+ in liquidity, or has a market cap of $100M or more, those powers are reported as "admin controls" rather than a stay-away warning.

Honeypots, sell restrictions and an upgradable transfer fee are always flagged, whatever the token's age or size. Those are the ones that take your money.

Limits, honestly

It reports red flags, not safety. A clean result means nothing in this list showed up, not that a token can't still dump. Very new tokens sometimes aren't indexed yet, and it will say so. Not financial advice.
